Leaving from La Mancha de Villarrobledo

Villarrobledo, at the north-western tip of the province, is a town of wine and clay vats that deals as much with Albacete as with Tomelloso and Socuéllamos over the border in Ciudad Real. It has its own hospital and railway station, and its carnival and festivals draw visitors from outside.

Which way it goes

Albacete is a crossroads: the A-31 runs down to Alicante via Almansa and Villena, the A-35 branches off at Almansa towards Xàtiva and Valencia, and the A-30 leads to Murcia via Hellín and Cieza. Westwards the road crosses La Mancha to Ciudad Real, and northwards it climbs to Cuenca by way of the A-3.

Valencia airport is at Manises, west of the city, so it can be reached without entering central Valencia. For the north-east of the province and the Almansa corridor it is a real alternative to Barajas.

When demand peaks

• Holidays and the beach (Easter, summer and Christmas): At the start of the holidays, transfers to Alicante, Valencia and Murcia airports multiply, on top of those to Barajas, and early flights mean leaving at night. It is best to book as soon as you have your ticket.

Tip: Before choosing an airport, think about where you are leaving from: from Almansa or Caudete, Alicante and Valencia are much closer than Barajas; from Villarrobledo, Madrid may be the better choice.

Airport pickup

For arrivals, the driver waits in the terminal with a name sign and helps with your luggage. We track the flight number, so a delay costs nothing extra within the terminal’s complimentary waiting time.

For early flights

We recommend leaving Villarrobledo at least 195 minutes before you want to be at the check-in desk. We operate through the night, always with an advance booking.
