Madrid hospitals from Albacete
Hellín, Almansa and Villarrobledo have their own hospitals, but many specialities are only at Albacete General Hospital. The transfer is a car with a driver to attend the appointment and come back, not medical transport.
How to get there from each area
- Llanos de Albacete
- From Albacete to Madrid the route is the A-31 north, past La Roda, to the A-3 in the Cuenca part of La Mancha, which enters Madrid from the east. For Barajas you take the M-40 or M-50 north without crossing the city; the AVE to Atocha is the other option.
- Mancha del Júcar
- La Roda heads straight to Madrid on the A-31 and then the A-3. Tarazona and Madrigueras join the A-31 on local roads without having to go down to Albacete.
- La Manchuela
- From Casas-Ibáñez and Alcalá del Júcar the road heads north to the A-3, which leads to Madrid without going through Albacete. For Barajas it is the same route, joining the M-40 or M-50 on arrival.
- La Mancha de Villarrobledo
- From Villarrobledo the way to Madrid is to join the A-31 by road heading north and continue on the A-3. Being in the north-west of the province, it is closer to Madrid than the capital is.
- Corredor de Almansa
- From Almansa the route to Madrid is the A-31 through Albacete and La Roda to the A-3. Caudete joins the A-31 near Villena. For many residents here, Alicante and Valencia airports are more convenient than Barajas.
- Campos de Hellín
- From Hellín and Tobarra the road runs up the A-30 to Albacete and then the A-31 and A-3 to Madrid. It is one of the longest trips to Barajas in the province, and the AVE from Albacete is the usual alternative.
