Leaving from Corredor de Almansa

Almansa and Caudete form the eastern tip of the province, on the natural route towards Valencia and Alicante. Almansa is an industrial footwear town, with its castle on the rock and its own hospital; Caudete, right next to Villena, looks as much towards Alicante as towards Albacete.

Which way it goes

Albacete province has its capital in the middle and its other towns on the edges: Villarrobledo to the north-west, Almansa to the east, Hellín to the south. The A-31 and A-30 motorways link the capital well with Almansa and Hellín, but buses between towns are scarce, and the southern mountains are crossed on slow mountain roads.

Albacete airport shares its runway with the Los Llanos air base, south of the city, and has very little commercial traffic. Before booking a transfer, check that the flight operates that day; for most destinations people fly from Alicante, Valencia or Madrid.

On arrival: Llanos de Albacete

The capital and its immediate surroundings, with Chinchilla de Monte-Aragón and its castle close by, hold a large share of the province's population. The General Hospital, Albacete-Los Llanos station, the airport and the fairground are all here, so Albacete is both the starting point and the destination of most trips.

Tip: Before choosing an airport, think about where you are leaving from: from Almansa or Caudete, Alicante and Valencia are much closer than Barajas; from Villarrobledo, Madrid may be the better choice.

Airport pickup

For arrivals, the driver waits in the terminal with a name sign and helps with your luggage. We track the flight number, so a delay costs nothing extra within the terminal’s complimentary waiting time.

For early flights

We recommend leaving Caudete at least 110 minutes before you want to be at the check-in desk. We operate through the night, always with an advance booking.
